Highlights include $5M GTD ‘WPT Online Championship’ plus tour favourites ‘WPT500’ and ‘WPT DeepStacks’
partypoker is excited to announce the first ever WPT Online Series held in conjunction with partner tour the World Poker Tour (WPT). The series is set to guarantee $30,000,000 in total prize money including $15,000,000 across ten headline events from May 10-26, 2020.
The centrepiece $3,200 buy-in ‘WPT Online Championship’ will run between May 10 and May 26 featuring a $5,000,000 guarantee, with a host of side events available throughout the series in a range of buy-ins to accommodate players of all levels.
Other popular WPT events will also make their online debuts in the series. Taking place from May 10-18, the $1,000,000 GTD ‘WPT500’ offers 10 starting flights for what is expected to be a huge turnout, while another $1,000,000 is guaranteed in the ‘WPT DeepStacks’ that bookends the series on May 25 and May 26.
A full satellite program will give players the chance to qualify into the series for less on partypoker and players can also secure their WPT Online Championship seat through the live tour’s new ‘WPT Passport’ promotion.
The WPT Passport is a flexible satellite package that allows the holder to enter selected WPT Main Events listed on the partypoker LIVE website within 12 months of the passport being won.
