Poland’s first regulated online casino goes live with Playtech Caisno platform.
Playtech, the world’s leading omni-channel gaming company, celebrates the launch of Poland’s first regulated online casino. The launch marks Playtech’s landmark entry in the fast-growing Polish market as it continues its strategy of partnering with leading, established operators in regulated and newly regulated markets.
The new venture will be known as Total Casino. Hosted at, it will be operated by Totalizator Sportowy which has a distinguished history as the operator of Poland’s national lottery and is the largest operator in the country. Earlier in 2018, Totalizator Sportowy selected Playtech to be its official online casino partner, providing the underlying platform, games portfolio and support services that launches today.
Totalizator Sportowy has run Poland’s lottery services for six decades and today has a network of more than 17,000 points of sale across the country. The company was originally created to generate funds for the construction and renovation of sports facilities, a practice which continues to this day.
The Totalizator Sportowy project follows Playtech’s work with other World Lottery Association members who have taken similar steps to expand their gaming offering. In recent years, Playtech has developed broader offerings for Greece’s OPAP, Portugal’s Santa Kaza, Sisal in Italy, and a trio of lotteries operating in the Nordics including Finland’s Veikkhaus, Denmark’s Danske Spil and Norway’s Norsk Tipping.
Mor Weizer, Chief Executive Officer, Playtech, said: “This is a significant day for Totalizator Sportowy and for Playtech. A lot of hard work has gone into the last nine months to build an exciting, robust, safe platform for Poland’s players. We owe a big thank you to our new partners at Totalizator Sportowy and look forward to a long, successful relationship.
“Our commitment to innovative, industry leading products and the scale and flexibility of our gaming platform means Playtech is the clear partner of choice for the leading land-based operators in newly regulating online markets.”
