The Empire Casino, home to one of London’s most distinguished and well regarded poker rooms, watched on in high expectation this week as ‘Team Empire’ made its mark and delivered a gripping performance at the World Series of Poker 2019 (WSOP) Tournament in Las Vegas.
Fifteen Empire customers qualified to travel to Las Vegas to take part in the Main Event – the most iconic and prestigious tournament in the poker calendar. In a bid to claim a World Series of Poker championship title and cash some of the $80m prize fund, each player was guaranteed an adrenaline fuelled experience like no other – playing against 8,500 other people and rubbing shoulders with some of the best poker players in the world.
